I have started growing some of my own gourds in limited varieties and occasionally I get a good deal on some gourds and will have enough to share. Pro-Imperial repositional Measurement Paper Tape 1/2 in. x 50 yds. (Imperial scale) NEW This product was recommended by Darlene Propp on one of the Gourd Forums. I ordered one and found it to be a great help for laying out my design on a gourd. It was much easier than using brass rings or rubber bands. Once the lines are drawn, the tape can easily be removed or moved so you can safely burn the lines into the gourd after the tape is removed therefore avoiding risks of burning through glue. It is now available through our Amazon store. This repositional tape is a must have for gourd artists and other crafters who work on uneven surfaces. It is safe, easy to use and allows you to lay out the design quickly and easily. Pro Tapes Pro-Measurement Ruler Tape is a Kraft paper tape with adhesive backing which can be used as a repositionable ruler. It is a low chloride content. Non staining repositionable adhesive system. It is a yellow paper tape printed black with markings every 1/8 of an inch and is numbered 1 through 12 and perforated at the end of each 12 or 36 inches. This tape is great for tough situations where a tape measure will not fit or work, such as gourds. This product is safe when used as intended. NOTE: It is not intended to be used to burn through with a pyrography tool. |

Gourd Cleaner/Scraper This is one of the greatest tools for cleaning out your gourds. It has teeth on one side to pull out the bulk from the inside of the gourd and the other side is sharpened to give you smooth scraping. This is commonly called a fleshing tool and is used to clean leather hides. It is available in two sizes. The smaller size fits into most holes and the wooden handle is very comfortable. Ink Applicator Cubes This convenient one inch square dry felt ink pad is a great size for applying the inks to large areas on your gourd. To get started when new it is dry, add about 10 drops of ink to the pad and work it into the top of the applicator cube. You will see the ink seep into the applicator cube in about 5 minutes. The inks will last a long time. To use on a stamp, turn the stamp on its back and pounce the applicator cube onto the rubber and repeat to cover the stamp, you really don't need a stamp pad to be as large as your rubber stamp.
